The college has Central Library for College of Agriculture, Nagpur and for School of Agri-Business Management, Nagpur. In Maharashtra College of Agriculture Library is an oldest Library catering the needs of Students, Teachers, Research Scholars & Scientists of the Agriculture College and other Institutions. Previously, college library was housed in College of Agriculture building. In 1987 it has been shifted in newly constructed separate and independent Library building on 720 sq.mt. area. It is situated at Ramdaspeth square on Opp. Nagpur University Library, North Ambazari Road. Reading Hall, Book Stacks, Back Volumes of periodicals, Reference Section, Thesis Section are the various section of the College Library for rendering effective service to the readers.

The book Collection of College Library is 63,695 which includes 40858 Books, 17326 Back Volumes of Periodicals, 5511 Thesis, 55 CD etc. Library subscribed 13 International Journals, 19 National Journals, 14 Magazines and 18 Newspapers. College Library provides Computer and Reprography facilities for the staff and students.

The College Library has started computer facility from the year 2013. Library has established one Computer Lab with Internet, LAN connectivity and CCTV Surveillance System. Library has more than 15 high-tech computers, laser printers for B.Sc. (Agri.), M.Sc. (Agri.), M.B.A. (Agri.) users. Library has WI-FI BSNL broadband Internet facility for students of this college. Every year Library is subscribing Foreign & Indian Journals and purchasing Books recommended by staff in the interest of students for this college. The School of Agri-Business Management was started from 2009 and its library is also managed by this library and the total collection of books for Agri-Business library is 451. In addition to college, ten different sections of college have their own library which has fairly good collection of text books, periodicals and theses which are used by students and faculty as well.

Library has added Computers, Printers, Scanner, UPS, Photocopier, CCTV and Library Integrated Software which is a great infrastructure development for library automation.  The user’s community of college is very delighted due to additions of Computers and related peripherals in the College Library which helped a lot to create computer awareness among the users.

The College Library has implemented KOHA Library Management Software which is useful for automation of Acquisition, Circulation, Serials control, Cataloging and having OPAC facility modules in the software.  Due to addition of this software library is entered in the field of information technology to provide computerized information services. The work of LAN (Local Area Network) of Library has been completed for networking of computers and there has the access facility to CeRA (Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture), Krishiprabha Doctoral e-Theses, CAB Database, CAB eBooks, Hortscience, Science Direct and other e-resources through Static IP.


College Library caters to the need of B.Sc.(Agri.), M.Sc.(Agri.), M.B.A. (Agri.Business Management) students, Academic Staff of the College. Each students of the College & Staff member of the College are members of the College Library.

Books Loan facility

·         Library books are issued to the students & staff members of the college on loan basis for a period 15 days against the Library card.

·         Students must return the books to college Library on or before the due date. If a book is not returned on or before the due date the fine of Rs.1/- per volume per day will be charged.
